About Me

The author (any/all pronouns) is a community educator and scholar who lives and breathes multicultural LGBTQ+ pedagogy, and has worked across rural, suburban, and urban landscapes in pursuit of queer, trans, and racial justice. With more than fifteen years of experience working alongside school communities, he/she/it now works as the LGBTQ Programs Coordinator in a large, urban school district. Previous work has involved youth leadership development, cross-cultural trainings, academic research projects focused on the unique gifts of queer and trans decolonial educators, and queer and trans youth-of-color advocacy in the rural Central Valley of California. In addition to educational and academic projects, the author collaborates with visual artists and musicians to explore the magic of queer intergenerational storytelling to counter clinical, colonial, and coercive narratives of queer, trans, and racial identities.”
